University of Dayton student Vanessa Carey interns in Washington, D.C.

University of Dayton student Vanessa Carey is among a select group of undergraduates exploring careers in Washington, D.C., through summer internships and experiential learning opportunities as part of the DC Flyers program.

Carey, a International Studies, Spanish major from Athens, OH, is working in Bromberg Kohler Maya & Maschler.

Students in the DC Flyers program benefit from the mentorship of co-workers, faculty, peers and the local University of Dayton alumni network. Students also receive housing in Washington, D.C., and a stipend of up to $3,000 to cover food, public transportation and other basic needs.
