University of Dayton student Mayra Baeza interns in Washington, D.C.

University of Dayton student Mayra Baeza is among a select group of undergraduates exploring careers in Washington, D.C., through summer internships and experiential learning opportunities as part of the DC Flyers program.

Baeza, a Sociology/Human Rights major from Brookfield, IL, is working in US Department of Education .

Students in the DC Flyers program benefit from the mentorship of co-workers, faculty, peers and the local University of Dayton alumni network. Students also receive housing in Washington, D.C., and a stipend of up to $3,000 to cover food, public transportation and other basic needs.
