Libby Durnwald selected as a 2014-2015 President's Emissary

Libby Durnwald of Maumee, OH is one of 30 University of Dayton students selected to serve in the honored leadership role of President's Emissary for the 2014-15 academic year.

These students are some of the best and brightest at the University of Dayton, representing the University's core values of hospitality and inclusiveness.

As a campus ambassador on behalf of the Office of the President, Libby will work alongside President Daniel J. Curran in various roles.

Emissaries are entrusted with a great deal of responsibility, from hosting dinners for administrators, dignitaries, alumni, donors, trustees and community leaders to conducting campus tours and other University events.

Senior emissary Kayla Mueller said, "I am very excited to get to know the other emissaries because the group is so diverse. Many of us have earned leadership positions in several groups on campus, and I look forward to collaborating and representing the Flyers together."

The term of President's Emissary includes one year of service to the Office of the President. Membership is available to sophomores, juniors and seniors who demonstrate a record of academic success, character, and professionalism.
