Kathryn Auletto took a day off school, but didn't skip out on learning -- or teaching

2014 May 15

Kathryn Auletto participated in the 25th annual Brother Joseph W. Stander Symposium this spring, an event that showcases University of Dayton students' intellectual and artistic accomplishments.

The event, held April 9, consisted of poster sessions and presentations for students to present individual research projects and artwork. Classes were canceled for the day so all students could take part in the "alternate day of learning."

Kathryn presented work titled "Reading Interventions in Relation to the Ohio Third Grade Reading Guarantee".

More than 925 students and 193 faculty/staff advisors participated.

The purpose of the symposium is to provide an annual campus-wide forum to showcase academic excellence at the University. It is designed to recognize student learning through faculty-mentored undergraduate and graduate research, scholarship and artistic accomplishments representing all academic units at the University of Dayton.
