Joshua Tovey participates in new D.C. Flyers internship program

Joshua Tovey, from Grand Blanc, MI, participated in the University of Dayton's D.C. Flyers internship program this summer, one of 15 UD students selected.

During the 10-week internship, Joshua had the opportunity to develop personal talents and gain real-world experience through a placement with Catholic Charities, in the Diocese of Arlington Migrant Services.

D.C. Flyers, launched by the University Honors program and the political science department, is part of a continued effort to provide students with opportunities to enrich their education through experiential learning.

The program provided networking opportunities as well. It intentionally sought to engage students with the Dayton alumni base in the D.C. area, with more than a third of the students placed with or through a D.C. area alumnus.
