Bradley Petrella joins students leaders for Impact Conference

2018 Mar 1

University of Dayton undergraduate Petrella Bradley joined hundreds of other student leaders committed to social justice, activism and advocacy for the national Impact Conference.

The conference, historically the largest event of its kind, gives students the tools they need to make a difference - from "turning your beliefs into action" and "understanding the root causes of social injustice" to important challenges of the day, including social media and advocacy, how to combat hate groups, and how to lead difficult conversations on race.

"The conference was founded on the belief that students can make a difference around issues of social change - they don't have to wait until they graduate and get a job to make a difference," said Hunter Phillips Goodman, executive director of the University of Dayton Fitz Center for Leadership in Community. "It engages students in conversations that show them they're not alone on their campuses doing this work. We're sharing ideas and best practices that student can take back to their communities."

The conference was held on the University of Dayton campus March 1-4. More information is available online.
